Blair Castle's foundations date to the 13th century and today, is one of the Scotland's most majestic castles. Blair Castle has been the seat of Clan Murray. The castle was the site of a siege in 1746 that was part of the Jacobite rising that was fought between Scottish forces loyal to British King George II who defended Blair Castle against Scottish Jacobite forces loyal to the House of Stuart.
