Like other beach resorts in Thailand Koh Samet suffers from trash and sewage, without much of an infrastructure for coping

Like other beach resorts in Thailand and Southeast Asia it does suffer from trash and sewage, without much of an infrastructure to take care of waste. Ko Samet is so near Bangkok, the island is ideal for those in the capital wanting to relax with their families for a couple of days and so has developed steadily over the past decade or so, but it hasn’t been the victim of over zealous construction which has hit the likes of Ko Samui or Phuket.
