BURPEE'S NOVELTIES FOR 1893. 121 NEW CENTAUREA,—MARGUERITE Named after lovely Queen Marguerite of Italy, who is so well beloved by the people of that sunny land, this new variety is entirely distinct from all other Centaureas and undoubtedly the most beautiful variety known. The plants grow about eighteen inches high and are of the easiest culture. The large flowers are of purest white, deliciously scented, exquisitely laciniated, and freely pro duced on long stems, which renders them valuable for cutting. We recommend it as a highly decorative and particularly valu- able white-flowering plant. The illustration can give but the faintest idea of its unique beauty,—entirely unlike any other flower- %^ ing plant and sure to excite admiration W wherever grown. Per pkt. 15 cts.; 2 pkts. for 25 cts. CENTAUREA,—VICTORIA. This is the greatest contrast imaginable to the preceding. It is a dwarf, compact variety of Cen- taurea Cyanus, or Blue Cornflower. Of neat, com- pact habit, the plants are only six to nine inches high, carrying a profusion of azure-blue flowers.
