The Planie is a chestnut and linden avenue built in the 19th century between Gartenstrasse and Charlottenstrasse. Impressive city villas line both sides. At the corner of Kaiserstraße there is a monument from 1892 with the marble bust of Kaiser Wilhelm I and a portrait medallion each of Kaiser Friedrich III, Bismarck and Moltke.
