Passengers wait for the arrival of a train on one of the platforms of the Oriente railway station, in Lisbon. Drivers and workers of Comboios de Portugal (Portuguese Railway Company) have started a strike that will last until 3 November, due to a growing shortfall in benefits and salaries. The company expects disruptions to services, especially on 31 October.
