For several months in the year the climate is most agreeable — a fresh sea - breeze blows througli the day; and a more enjoyable expedi- tion can hardly be imagined than a tri]) over to Hamilton, the caves of AValshingham, or Har- rington Sound, in one of the celebrated 'Mudian boats. These boats are uneipialled in their own waters at beating to windward, but their modul is defective. They are no good off the wind, as they would soon run themselves under water, and, being heavily ballasted, would go down like a stone. JMoreover, in a sea - way thoy would pitch their mast over the bows, and from their blutf entrance would iu3t hold their own against any of our crack yachts, of their own tonnage, either on or off the wind.
