Beddgelert, a small village nestling in the beautiful rugged scenery of Snowdonia which is very popular with tourists and outdoor activists such as climbers, walkers and cyclists. Nearby attractions are the copper mines of Sygun which offer tours underground and the beautiful Aberglaslyn Pass. Beddgelert translates as Gelerts Grave and is based on a legend of a dog named Gelert. The village and local area has been used for many films including 'Inn of the Sixth Happiness', 'Carry on up the Khybe'r and Merlin.
