Charles Stephen Northam Anthony (58), 2cl wife,Elizabeth Bulkeley Emerson, ///. July 7, 1842, dau. Rev. Sam-uel Moody and Charlotte Bulkeley Emerson of Manchester,Mass. She was born in Williamstown, Mass., Oct. 21, to Washington, III, about 1840, and she was principalof the young ladies seminary, whicb she conducted withmarked success. Was a woman of culture and refinement andliterary ability. In 1885 she came to Peoria. Ill, to be withher two sons and in the spring of 1888, moved to Chillicothe,Ohio, to live with her daughter, where she died, Jan. 10, 1892. Charles Stephen Northam Anthony soon after the death ofhis first wife, moved in 1838 to Washington, 111., with his onlychild, Jane Francis. He was an honorable, upright and justman and very successful
