The Central Valley of Vermont lies east of the mainrange of the Green Mountains and extends from Canadaline to the Black River, southeast from Killington the middle of its northern portion, this valley is almostfilled by Norris Mountain in the town of Eden. Theportion between the Lamoille and the Winooski rivers is thewidest. The portion between the Winooski and the Whiterivers is crossed about midway by the main water-shed ofVermont.
