Alan Bean Interment Navy Rear Adm. James Bynum prepares to present the folded American Flag to Leslie Bean, wife of former astronaut Alan Bean, during his interment service, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Selected as an astronaut in 1963, Bean flew in space twice, becoming the fourth human to walk on the Moon on Nov. 19, 1969 and spent 59 days in space as commander of the second Skylab mission in 1973.
