A Marine from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 232 conducts a preflight function check with an F/A-18A Hornet pilot before the readiness exercise called the ‘Elephant Walk’ on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Feb. 1. The exercise consisted of a variety of aircraft to include F/A-18A Hornets, CH-53E Super Stallions and a KC-130J Super Hercules flying to rehearse, improve and test the MAG’s readiness capabilities.
