Hind wing red-bi-own irrorated with a few large black scales, the terminal area white irrorated with a few large black scales, narrowing to tornus ; a series of red-brown lunules on termen ; the underside pale reddish brown with dark discoidal lunule, the terminal area white narrowing to tornus. Hab. Borneo, Sandakan {Pryer), 1 $ type. Exp. 14 millim. Genus ACIDALIODES, uov. Type, A. 'perstriata. Proboscis aborted, minute ; palpi obliquely upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to vertex of head and sHghtly fringed with scales behind towards extremity, the 3rd short; frons smooth; eyes large, round; antennae of male ciliated; thorax clothed almost entirely with scales and without crests ; tibiee smoothly scaled, the spurs long ; abdomen with dorsal series of slight crests. Fore wing- long and narrow, the apex rounded, the termen obliquely curved and not crenulate ; vein 3 from well before angle of cell; 5 from just above angle ; 6 from well below upper angle ; 7 from angle; 8, 9, 10, 11 stalked. Hind wincr with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell ; 5 obsolescent from middle ot discocellulars ; 6, 7 shortly stalked; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. Sect. I.
