The main bell-shaped chedi at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is one of the distinctive landmarks of Ayutthaya Historical Park in Thailand

Ayutthaya Historical Park covers the ruins of the old city of Ayutthaya, Thailand, which was founded by King Ramathibodi I in 1351. The city was captured by the Burmese in 1569. Part of the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is one of the most important historical sites in Ayutthaya and is still an active temple where monks reside.
