The "Tonnara" plant in Favignana island (Sicily, Italy)


The Favignana Tonnara, officially called Ex Stabilimento Florio of the Favignana and Formica tuna plants, is an ancient tuna plant, with attached fish retention facility, located in Favignana in the Egadi Islands. With its 32,000 square meters, 3/4 of which are covered, it is one of the largest tuna in the Mediterranean.
