A sign, written in the Kannada (sometimes termed Canarese) language of south India, makes clear that hens' eggs are being offered for sale. Due to illiteracy in many rural areas the sign uses obvious symbolism (the hen, eggs and a red arrow) to make clear that eggs and hens cans be found left of this point.
