Maryland Army National Guard members of Maryland’s Vaccine Equity Task Force, and Cottage City Police Department and members of its Police Explorer program, unite for a vaccination event in Cottage City, Maryland, June 26, 2021. Cottage City PD provided the location as well as an interpreter. This was the second collaboration between the two entities as a way to spread equity amongst the state of Maryland. Army Brig. Gen. Birckhead, commander of the MDARNG, leads the VETF, an initiative to promote equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine throughout Maryland.
