Britannia Bridge Memorial which records the deaths of workers and their families who died during the construction of the bridge, Anglesey, Wales


Britannia bridge Memorial, in the churchyard of St Mary's churchyard, Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll. General view from near the church of the memorial surmounted by an obelisk . It was built as memorial to the construction workers and their families who lived close to the site of Britannia Bridge: slate inscriptions record 18 members of this community who lost their lives during its building 1846-50 through accidents, disease etc. including little Emma Greave, aged 5. Also the workers who died during the bridge reconstruction of 1972-3. It was raised by voluntary subscription.
