Type of Italian or Orchid Flowered Cannas Italia (Italian)—5 feet. Is of a bright orange-scarlet, with a very broad golden-yellow border; the flowers, which are produced on massive stems about sixteen inches long, are set well above the foliage. Leonard Vaug^han—5 feet. Rich, deep bronze foliage. Very strong, robust grower, flowers freely, and well-formed flower spikes show boldly above the foliage. Color, bright scarlet without mark- ings, and with very petals, measuring 1^ inches. Madame Crozy—The flowers are of the largest size, of a dazzling crimson scarlet, bordered with golden yellow. The plant is of vigorous growth, yet dwarf in habit, seldom exceeding four feet in height. The foliage is of a rich, cheerful green, and very massive. MIIOs Berat—The nearest approach to a pink in a first-class bedder. Many of the sorts heretofore off'ered as pink, have a "washed-out" appearance. In this variety, however, the larger the mass the finer the eff'ect, and when planted in conjunction with yellows and high-colored reds it is simply superb. Height 4 feet. Mrs. Kate Gray (Italian)—7 feet. Flower is immense ; larger than Austria or Italia, being round and full, of a clear wine color, beautifully suffxised with gold. Besides the extraordinary size of the flowers, it is a very strong grower, and would be valuable on account of its beautiful and luxuriant foliage alone, which is tropical in its luxuriance, much resembling the Abyssinian Banana. Each 25c. Paul Carnot—Has good-sized truss of large flowers; foliage deep chocolate maroon; color of bloom, bright red. One of the best of the dark-leaved sorts. Queen Charlotte—4 feet. The flower spikes bear a beautiful bouquet of large flowers of perfect form, with petals of a rich scarlet crimson, broadly banded
