Also, routine administrative tasks at the field level should be streamlined or eliminated to free biologists and foresters to work with more farmers, farm managers and follow-up on practices under way. IDOC RESPONSE: The Department places a large number of interns every year. The training provided to the students during these internships prepares them for a career in the natural resources field.
