It is beingdone, however, with fair success, through theaid of sufficient feed wire and a good returncircuit employing cast-welded joints. • The Milbrae sub-station, illustrated here-with, is a substantial fireproof, red brick build-ing, 40 ft. x 75 ft. The walls and foundationsare built of brick and cement, the floor is ofconcrete, and the roof is covered with bestquality California slate, nailed on cinder con-crete.
