Marines with The Basic School (TBS) fire M16A4 rifles during the Montford Point Biathlon at Weapons Training Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., April 7, 2017. The event is held annual where more than 50 Marines from TBS honor the hardships faced by Montford Point Marines by competing in a mile course, in which four-man teams of Marines run from TBS to Weapons Training Battalion’s Range Three, shoot 20 rounds of ammunition in prone and standing positions, then run back to TBS.
