Kathmandu, Nepal. 18th May, 2016. Devotees struggle to get a holy coconut (Fruit of Faith), which was thrown from the top of Rato Macchendranath Chariot in Lagankhel. Rato Macchendranath is also said as the 'god of rain' and both Hindus and Buddhists worship the Macchendranath in hope of good rain to prevent drought during the rice plantation season. According to old belief, whoever catches the thrown holy coconut fruit, it will be blessed with a baby son and will have a prosper life year ahead.
