Broad Street, Birmingham, May 24th 2024 - Revellers took to Birmingham's infamous Broad Street on Friday night to start Bank Holiday celebrations. The partygoers hit the strip packing out Rosies and Heidi's nightclubs. Groups of friends posed for pictures as others gave their mates piggybacks down the street from club to club. West Midlands Police were also out in force. A group of men were questioned by 2 police officers after they were spotted with a large canister of nitrous oxide, also known as ‘Hippy Crack' which is now a class C drug. Broad Street, Birmingham, May 24th 2024 - Revellers took to Birmingham’s infamous Broad Street on Friday night to start Bank Holiday celebrations. The partygoers hit the strip packing out Rosies and Heidi’s nightclubs. Groups of friends posed for pictures as others gave their mates piggybacks down the street from club to club. West Midlands Police were also out in force. A group of men were questioned by 2 police officers after they were spotted with a large canister of nitrous oxide, also known as ‘Hippy Crack’ which is now a class C drug. Paramedics were also called to the nightlife area after a clubber was wheeled out on a chair into an awaiting ambulance. Many tucked into takeaways on their way home. Chemical Engineering students from the University of Birmingham made their way towards Heidi’s wearing Minion’s fancy dress, with one lad opting for a shopping bag outfit. One woman made her way out with friends whilst wearing a bright orange octopus hat. Tens of thousands of people are expected to hit Birmingham’s bars and clubs on Saturday as Birmingham Pride takes place throughout the day and into the evening.
