Wayland Smithy is a neaolithic burial mound close to the Ridgeway Path and the Uffington White Horse hill figure in Oxfordshire UK. Named after Wayland, the Saxon god of metalworking who traditionally still enhabits the site and will shoe a horse if it is left there overnight together with the payment of a silver coin.
