After consulting with a number of the ladies andwith the approval of our Secretary, Mrs. Cobb, I approached a numberof Chinese gentlemen in regard to the purchase of land for this institu-tion. All to whom I spoke thought that the patrons of McTyeire Schooland their friends would supply the funds and purchase the land. Un-fortunately, just at this juncture I fell ill, and the matter has had torest there.
