Denrobium orchid. 18th-century artwork of the orchid Denrobium crumenatum. This artwork (watercolour on vellum) is by the British artist Sydney Parkinson (). Parkinson travelled on and died during Captain James Cook's first voyage around the world. He is most famous for the illustrations he made during Cook's voyage, though some of his collected works date from before that time. This illustration is part of the collections held in the Botany Library at the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
