If in a continued studyof a diverticulitis case we find a portion ofthe involved area beginning to change itscontour, one must be suspicious of a begin-ning malignancy. Cancer, in general, is an intra-intestinalgrowth. The growth is in the wall of thecolon, extending into the lumen and defi-nitely circumscribed.
