Three archers celebrate, with a ritual dance, a hit by their comrade. A Bhutanese archery contest at Trongsa Dzong
On the archery pitch outside Trongsa Dzong an archery contest was taking place. Archery is the Bhutanese national sport and taken very seriously. There are two targets about 130 yards apart. The teams split to shoot arrows from both ends. To let their team mates at the other end know how accurate a shot was the other members do a dance.
