Proboscis fully developed; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to vertex of head and rather slenderly scaled, the 3rd moderate; frons sniootli; eyes large, round; antennas of male minutely ciliated; ihorax clothed witli scales and hair mixed and without crests ; tibiaj slightly fringed with hair ; abdomen with dorsal crests on two basal segments. Fore wing with the apex rounded, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate; vein 3 from well before angle of cell ; 4, 5 from angle ; 6 from upper angle; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form a rather long areole ; 11 from cell ; male with two depressed grooves in end of cell which is rounded at extremity. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 stalked ; 5 fully developed from above angle of cell; 6, 7 from upper angle; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. A. Fore wing with the terminal area not suffused with red and with white streaks in the interspaces cyanea. B.
