The meeting is said to have been arranged at the last minute with the Chief Minister's office forced to rearrange his schedules which included postponing a meeting with UK representatives of Unite union until later in the morning. Gibraltar - 4th September 2015 - British Minister of State for Justice and Policing MP Mike Penning has this morning made an unexpected visit to the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo at Number Six Convent Place. The meeting is said to have been arranged at the last minute with the Chief Minister's office forced to rearrange his schedules which included postponing a meeting with UK representatives of Unite union until later in the morning. MP Mike Penning is reported to be on a visit to Gibraltar and expected to be in Gibraltar until Sunday. The visit to Gibraltar has remained unannounced except for a Twitter comment by Police Superintendant Richard Ullger who stated that the Minister had been at New Mole House Police Station on a visit. The visit coming immediatedly after his meeting with the Chief Minster and a brief visit to Governor Sir James Dutton residence. The Minister was said to be in Gibraltar to meet with Police officials although no details of the reasons for the discussions have been made public.
