An Italian burgonet,circa 1580 Skull forged in one piece together with the brim,which rises to a point. Spike bent toward the back. Hinged cheek flaps with seven holes in each,closing under the brim with a V-cutout. Surrounded by iron lining rivets and turned-under edges. Remnants of the leather remain. Height 31 cm.
