An infantry rifle M 1848, serial number 1859-229. Matching numbers. Two-stage barrel, octagonal breech section, then round, with rifled bore in 17 mm calibre with adjustable sights. Percussion lock with a safety catch, the model number and weapon number on the lock plate. Full stock with iron/brass furniture. Iron ramrod. Matching bayonet with matching number. Bluing rubbed.
