It's called "Estancia" to the great Southern Cone rural establishments, especially those intended for extensive breeding of cattle or sheep. Often characterize these places the existence of 'manors', a center that includes homes, silos, barns, stables, pantry, etc. In this aspect the Southern Cone stay is very similar to the Mexican hacienda, the "fazenda" Brazil and the "ranch" of the American West.
