Reef squid, like most cephalopods are capable rapidly changing colors and markings on their skin. They use these displays to attract mates, warn off rivals and to camouflage themselves. Lembeh Strait in N Sulawesi is famous for its unusually high marine biodiversity, particularly of unusual animals that live on the exposed sand areas.
