St. Annatunnel, a pedestrian tunnel which runs beneath the river Schelde and connects Antwerp to the leftbank. The tunnel which was built between 1931-1933 is 527 metres long and approximately 30m below the river Schelde. It is in regular use and is accessed by lift or escalators which incidentally are the original versions from the 1930's and feature wooden steps.
