L'eglise Saint-Pierre, Carennac, Dordogne

The Church of Saint-Pierre is in a dominant position on the left bank of the Dordogne at Carennac. It was built at the end of the 11th Century and has a notable 12th Century tympanum over the West door. Here the sun shines through the East window and reflections of the stained glass are seen in the flagstone floor of the chancel.
