Northwest Passage Scenic Byway - Long Camp/Riverfront Park, Kamiah. Leaves change colors at the edge of Long Camp/Riverfront Park. Near the present community of Kamiah, the Lewis and Clark Expedition spent several weeks living among the Nez Perce while awaiting favorable travel conditions over the snowy Bitterroot Range in 1806. Their so-called "Long Camp" reinforced the goodwill that existed between the explorers and the Nimiipuu. Location: Idaho (° N ° W)
