A Wakizashi, Japan, dated 1402. Blade shinogizukuri, chu-kissaki, torii-zori. Bohi on both sides of the blade. Weak hamon towards the kissaki notare midare, otherwise ko suguha, centrally leading for c. 4 cm over the cutting edge. Signs of wear with kizu. Boshi not recogisable, slightly honed. Cutting edge with sporadic small nicks. Nakago with one mekugi-ana and kiri yasurime, suriage (shortened). Signed "Fujishima Tomoshige, Oei Ku Nen Hachi Gatsu Hi" (August 1402).
