Chain orchid flowers (Dendrochilum saccolabium). The numerous small flowers (red) of this orchid are seen forming a long chain-like structure that is called a raceme. The Dendrochilum orchids are found in tropical rainforests from South-East Asia to the islands of the Malay Archipelago. There are over 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown for their ornamental flowers.
