Parsonage Wood is at the top of Ruckles Field above Old Amersham and has been well preserved over centuries. It retains the unique nature of Chiltern beech woods and has particular fine colours in autumn. This image taken with a Canon 1Ds Mk III and has great detail allowing big enlargements. Even the smallest leaves are of a beech tree with lower branches in autumn colour catching the sunlight and casting dappled shadows on the trunk.
