Student guestworkers and their supporters protest in front of a McDonald's restaurant in Times Square in New York on Thursday, March 14, 2013 against alleged exploitation of the international students by the fast food giant. The workers allege that McDonald's used them as sub-minimum wage workers requiring them to work as long as 25 hours without overtime, charging exorbitant rates for housing in cramped conditions and retaliating against the J-1 guestworkers who complained, among other alleged abuses.
