White Arch or Bwa Gwyn, a sea arch underneath a narrow headland north of Porth Saint, Rhoscolyn Head. Looking north north west along the coast to Porth-y-garan with caravan parks and Trearddur bay to rear. in the far distance is Holyhead Mountain. The distinctive white cliffs are formed of Holyhead quartzite that has broken up leaving an arch of white feldspar”. The white quartzite was blasted from the cliffs here but shipped away to be used crushed and used in ceramics and as an abrasive.
