Pratt and Belinda Mar-den. He emigrated to Utah with hisparents in 1848, was baptized in 1854,filled a mission to Europe in 1867-1870,was appointed president of the North-western States Mission March 15,1902,and set apart May 6, 1902. He wasreleased March 14, 1909, and died April 29, 1910, in Spokane, Washington. SLOAN, Walter Reed, president ofthe Northwestern States Mission from1927 to 1934, was born March 30, 1881,in Manti, Utah, a son of Hugh RussellSloan and Margaret V. Reed. He wasbaptized Sept. 4, 1889, filled a missionto the Eastern States in 1900-1902,was set apart as presiden
