Dimitar Peshev. Bulgarian politician, known for his role in saving the Bulgarian Jews. Peshev was an honorary citizen of Israel, and in 1997 received posthumously the highest Bulgarian order “Stara Planina". He was awarded the title of "Honorary citizen of Kyustendil" in 1997“
