Marble statue of Count Matthias Von Der Schulenburg (1661 - 1747) in the Spianada near the entrance to the Old Fort in Corfu Town, Greece. It was sculpted in Carrara marble by Venetian sculptor Antonio Corradini (1668 - 1745). It was made in recognition of his organisation of the defense of Corfu against the last Turkish siege in 1716 during which the Turks failed to conquer the island. The statue depicts him dressed as a Roman Military Officer and is high on top of a baroque style base.
