Elon Musk (born 1971), Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) CEO and chief designer. Musk is listening to a reporter's question during a media briefing on 16 April 2012 prior to the successful SpaceX mission of 30 April to launch its Dragon cargo capsule to the International Space Station (ISS). SpaceX's Dragon capsule was designed and manufactured under the NASA COTS (Commercial Orbital Transportation Services) initiative, set up to encourage private companies to ship cargo to the ISS after the retirement of the shuttle program in 2011.
