The Chichester branch of RBS is situated in the appropriately named Flint House. The bank closed in on 31st July 2018.
The Chichester branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) was housed in Flint house. Buildings faced or built with flint are typical of areas in England close to the chalk hills of the Sussex downs. The flint nodules used for building is found with the chalk. RBS is currently 80% owned by the British tax payer following the recent finacial crisis. The bank closed on 31st July 2018 as part of the RBS cost cutting exercise, in common with other High Street banks.
