He works with a kiln formed from a large steel ring about four feet high and six feet in diameter, he pack's it with branches from trees that have been felled, cutting them into quite short lengths with a chairnsaw or splitting them with an axe After filling the kiln, a large steel roof is put on top. A fire is lit in a vent at the bottom of the kiln then tall chimney s to vent the smoke are put around it.
