Known as the Gales of November, each year as Autumn ends, winds whip up the Great Lakes turning them into rolling seas.

Each November, the otherwise calm Lake Erie is whipped up into a cauldron of waves that sometimes reach 30 feet high. Known as the Gales of November the stromy weather is a result of high winds, and a warm and shallow lake.
