The seed is slow of germi- nation, taking from 3 to 4 weeks to make .its appearance, and often failine to come up in dry weather. To assist its coming up quicker soak the seed a few hours in warm v or bursts. For winter use protect in Market Gardener's Best Triple-Curled. The plant is of a very robust and free growth, and it is improved by severe cutting. The leaves are very large and beautifully curled, and of a very dark green.
